Lee Abbey is a Christian retreat centre set in spectacular scenery on the coast of North Devon. The centre offers courses, conferences and holidays where people can explore different topics and relax in beautiful surroundings.
Following a successful creative writing weekend in May 2026, I’ll be back at Lee Abbey in June 2027 with the theme ‘Scattering Seeds’. The Parable of the Sower famously celebrates the abundant crop from seeds that fall on good soil. But the other seeds are not wasted – some feed the birds and others nourish the ground. Over the weekend, we’ll scatter seeds of creativity through all sorts of writing prompts, games and exercises. Some may sprout into big ideas and others may lie dormant, but together we’ll explore what can nourish our writing in unexpected ways!
