Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based approach for positive change that can be applied on a individual, communal or organisational basis. “AI focuses on what is working well (appreciate) by engaging people in asking questions and telling stories (inquire)” is a useful definition given by practitioners Joan McArthur-Blair and Jeanie Cockell.

In 2019, I completed ‘Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry’ (Module One), and I am currently undertaking ‘Deepening Your Appreciative Inquiry Practice’ (Module Two) as part of my journey towards accreditation as an AI practitioner by the International Association of Appreciative Inquiry (IAAI).
