The Man Who Gave His Name To Barry

‘The Man Who Gave His Name to Barry’ is a site-specific audio walk for Barry Island, about the sixth-century St Barruc after whom the town is named. The recording is available free online for people to download and take with them as they walk. It was commissioned by Barry – Making Waves, a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Vale of Glamorgan Council and Barry Town Council.

In June 2021, I led a live story walk at Barry Island in conjunction with Landscapes of Faith, a festival celebrating the stories of faith embedded in Welsh history and geography.
